Part-Time Speech Language Assisant

Connect Society's Early Childhood Services Program requires a part-time Speech Language Assistant to work with preschool children who have hearing loss and/or language delays. Programming is play-based and family-focused, requiring a high level of team work within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of child language development, behavior management skills and experience working with children aged 3-5 years. American Sign Language (ASL) would be helpful but is not required. Duties include monitoring amplification equipment, taking language samples, encouraging speech and language through play, assisting the teacher or Speech Language Pathologist with circle and story times and some pull-out auditory training or articulation practice.
