The YMCA Welcome Village is part of the first phase of the Boyle Renaissance Redevelopment, a multi-phase, far-reaching community redevelopment situated in the area between 95 and 96 Streets and extending north from 103A Avenue to the LRT tracks.  Boyle Renaissance Redevelopment Phase 1 is a made-in-community solution that provides a range of services and programs that include child care, family services, housing, community, social, recreation and park space. Within Phase 1, The YMCA of Northern Alberta is partnered with the Boyle Street Community League, the City of Edmonton and Capital Region Housing Corporation.

On the east side of the site, Melcor YMCA Village is located which is an affordable housing complex. On the west side of the site is located Boyle Street Plaza which houses the YMCA Family Resource Centre, Shirley Stollery YMCA Child Care Centre and the Boyle Street Community Centre.   Boyle Street Park is nestled in between the two buildings.

The YMCA Welcome Village is made up of the Melcor YMCA Village, the  YMCA Shirley Stollery Child Care and the YMCA Family Resource Centre.
